The Uttar Pradesh authorities on Tuesday eliminated the chairperson of the UP Police Recruitment Board.

The chairperson, Renuka Mishra, has been changed with IPS officer Rajeev Krishna, days after the UP police constable recruitment examination was cancelled following allegations of a query paper leak.

Greater than 48 lakh candidates appeared within the examination, which was held on February 17 and 18 throughout the state.

The state authorities on February 24 cancelled the police constable recruitment examination and stated a re-examination can be performed inside six months.

The federal government additionally stated {that a} Particular Process Power (STF) would probe the paper leak allegations.

Earlier final month, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath additionally stated that “there might be no compromise with the sanctity of examinations” and warranted strict motion towards “unruly components”.
