Violence broke out in Manipur’s Moreh after a gunfight
Imphal/New Delhi:
A gunfight broke out between suspected insurgents and police commandos in Manipur’s border city Moreh right now. The insurgents allegedly fired at a convoy of police automobiles whereas they had been shifting in the direction of a patrolling level from Moreh city, information company PTI reported.
A commando was injured. He’s being handled at an Assam Rifles camp.
The contemporary violence in Moreh additionally led to the burning of two houses, native reviews mentioned.
In a separate incident, a teen was shot useless by unidentified males in Manipur’s hill district Kangpokpi, 45 km from the state capital Imphal. The incident occurred at 2.30 am on Saturday.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh condemned the killing of the youth.
“Just a few evil parts try to disrupt the peace within the state. It is an unlucky incident and we extremely condemned the incident. Combing operation is on to nab the culprits. We cannot spare the culprits,” Mr Singh informed reporters right now.
“Many civil society teams try arduous to revive peace within the state. This contemporary incident is extremely condemnable. Allow us to maintain dialogue and resolve points peacefully,” he added.
